Individual Counseling

We offer individual counseling to help adults overcome a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, work burnout, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, family issues, and addiction.

In counseling, we will examine how your past impacts your present and work on the issues that matter most to you. We will offer you tools and techniques to better cope with your struggles and change the story of your problems. We want to help you feel better and be able to function well in your day-to-day life so you can meet your personal and/or professional goals.

One way we help is by teaching you mindfulness and meditation techniques which helps you slow down and listen to what’s going on in your body. We want to empower you to be your own healer, respond to your own needs, and better your life.

Couples Therapy and Marriage Counseling

Relationships are challenging. Even the best relationships go through tough times. Perhaps it feels like you are your partner are totally out of sync, as if you’re living separate lives. Maybe the intimacy you once shared with your partner has been replaced by endless to-do lists and exhaustion. Or maybe you’re just arguing all the time.

Whatever brings you to couples counseling. We can help. Our couples therapists are skilled at helping couples in all stages of life and in all different kinds of relationships find happiness. Our therapists use the Gottman Method and Collaborative Couples Therapy to help couples repair past hurt, problem solve, learn how to have difficult conversations, and build a lasting connection with each other.

Everyone deserves to find happiness and contentment in their long-term relationships. Our goal in couples therapy will be to create a space to work on the closest relationships in your life so that you feel fulfilled, loved, and supported.

Adult ADHD Counseling

Living as an ADHDer can have its challenges. You want to be successful, but even when you’re trying your best, things don’t seem to go your way. Perhaps, you struggle to concentrate and focus on important tasks. Maybe, your relationships are struggling due to your impulsiveness and motivational outbursts. Or maybe, you can never turn your brain off and allow your mind to rest.

Additionally, you may have noticed that you’re highly sensitive and afraid of rejection. So, when you feel slighted you tend to overreact and become extremely emotional or angry. Perhaps, you’ve heard of Reaction Sensitivity Disorder RSD, and are wondering if it applies to you and how you can treat it so you don’t become triggered so easily.

At our counseling center, we offer evaluations and psychological treatment for ADHD. Our goal for treatment is twofold. On one hand, we want to help you make behavioral and cognitive changes so you can better cope with being an ADHDer. On the other hand, want to help you address the emotional issues and shame you may have adopted after years of feeling judged by others.

Unlike other psychological treatments you may have tried, you will find we use a directive approach during counseling. This means we will ask you to set goals for counseling and your life in general. Then we will provide you with suggestions and tasks to complete to help you meet your goals. You will likely leave sessions with something to “do” or work to complete before we meet again. Ultimately, our goal is that the work we do together provides a launching pad for you to do your own healing work out in the world.

Life Transition Counseling

Change is a constant in our lives. Sometimes, life transitions are positive, but sometimes they’re not. Our therapists are skilled at helping individuals and couples overcome the challenges they may experience as they navigate major life transitions such as:
